Counter Strike New Revealed
Valve finally revealed Counter Strike New after weeks of speculation. It's a major upgrade to CS:GO that will put it on the Source 2 engine.
It also brings sub-tick server updates as well as smoking grenades that are responsive. It's made a lot of armchair gamers go crazy however, it appears to be an upgrade for the average player.
Smokes
Counter Strike New is getting a major update that will fundamentally alter the way smokes are used in the game. These changes, known as responsive smokes, will be a game changer. Smokes will now expand to fill in spaces naturally and move around objects on the map. They will also react to the lighting in the game, which makes their appearance more appealing and realistic. Smokes will also be able interact with events in the game. This will provide new opportunities for tactical play. cs2 cases , for instance will cause smoke to be pushed to temporarily clear sightlines. Hex grenade blasts will also disperse smoke obstruction.
The most significant change in smokes is that they will become a more active part of the game. Smokes in earlier versions were a fixed-shaped object that had a restricted range of movement and vision blocking. The new smokes will fill the space in which they are placed and make it harder for players to see vision when they are there. This is a major improvement that will make the game more exciting and give both teams the same level of visibility.
In addition smokes are now able to react to the surroundings, weaponry, and lighting in the world space. This makes the smoke appear more real and allow players to use it in a variety of ways to gain an advantage over their opponents. This will especially be beneficial in the chaotic 5v5 matches which are bound to occur on every map.
Smokes won't be one-way, which was a significant issue in CS:GO, and allowed players to see their opponents' locations from behind the smoke. Twistzz is a popular CS:GO professional who believes the new system will make CS2 more fair for both teams.
Other minor improvements include adjusting the vertical position of smoke particles in order to minimize seeing through edges and updating the smoke overlay images to match their camera's position. Also, the expiration of smokes was updated to be more in accordance with the visuals of how they fade on the screen.
Loadouts
Players of CS:GO can now alter their weapon choices prior to the start of each match. The new loadout system allows players to select weapons that match their playstyles and team's strategies. The updated system adds new depth to the game as players must balance both the power of their weapons and their utility.
In addition to the new loadouts in addition to the new loadouts, the CS: GO update includes a number of other improvements and modifications. The buy menu was completely redesigned. The old buy wheel has been replaced by an adjustable grid that shows all options for purchase simultaneously. The grid has been filled with five pistols, five "mid-tier" weapons, such as submachine guns and shotguns as well as five rifles and carbines.
The new system is easy to use and gives players more control over their weapon choices. It will let them choose the weapon that best fits their playstyle, team strategy and play around with different combinations. It will also allow them to test out their abilities against other players' loadouts, and see how they compare.
Many players have praised the increased flexibility while others have criticised it for straying from the essence of Counter-Strike. There have been concerns about how it could affect the specific loadouts for maps and skins of agents based on visibility.
In spite of these criticisms, the new loadout system will be tested in greater detail in the coming months. Some of these issues could be addressed in future updates. It is essential to stay informed for more information.
Workshop Tools are also included in the update, and can be enabled from the settings menu. This allows community members to create weapons finishes and stickers as also maps. The update will also ban players who violate VAC rules during matches.
The new CS: GO update is set to launch later in the summer. Players can look over the complete list of features and updates by visiting the official CS: GO website.
Sub-Tick Updates
The world of Counter-Strike is updated by the server in discrete increments of time called ticks. The tiniest delay between a tick and a mouse click of a player could influence the accuracy of a shot, so Valve is working to ensure that CS: GO is fluid and responsive. A new video reveals one of the game's biggest under-the-hood enhancements, also known as sub-tick updates.
Instead of the 64-tick update that occurs every millisecond, CS Go will now be able to utilize sub-ticks (or as Valve calls them, "micro-ticks") to communicate with the server. The client will keep track of each of tiny increments and then send them to the server. The server will transmit the updated game's state back to players. The servers will be able to tell when you shot, jumped, or peeked.
The video does not cover everything. However it does clarify that each piece of data sent by the client has a date and time and that the server will collect all the data in chronological order from all players prior to sending it back. According to the video it is believed that a CS: GO server will now be able to send more than twice the data as a 64-tick servers.
That means that when the game's tick rate goes up to 128 Hz, it will be able to handle your commands instantly and continuously. It's not just about increasing the tick rate also, micro-tick updates can reduce latency and input lag by guaranteeing that the server responds to your actions with no delays or glitches.

Valve's technical enhancements to the game are only beginning. The company is implementing dynamic smoke and particle systems to improve how smoke interacts with the environment, and it's upgrading all of the maps with high-resolution lighting, textures and models. Source 2 tools and features will be used to upgrade all CS Cosmetics and weapons.
Maps
The next update for Counter Strike New brings new maps and a few classics with facelifts. The updates are currently being tested in limited beta. The first set of updates includes an upgrade and touchstone maps which will not undergo major changes in gameplay, while other maps have been completely rebuilt or overhauled with the help of the new Source 2 Tools.
Overpass is one of the maps that has been reworked in order to take advantage the new engine's unified illumination system. The map's eerie underground has been flooded with light to make it more spacious and less crowded. Smoke grenades have expanded dynamically in order to fill spaces and interact with the light.
Italy is a second map that has been reworked. Its lighting, texture, and structure have been greatly improved. The new version has a more balanced feel as opposed to its predecessor, which was heavily CT oriented. Fans can expect a few more classics, including Aztec and Militia, to be revamped in the future.
Although many of these maps are available in other modes, they're not being added to the competitive map pool. The exception is Train, which has been removed from Active Duty and will continue to be played in tournaments. Valve hasn't yet announced if the other maps that were removed will be reintroduced to the pool.
Among the more controversial updates is one designed by Helsingin Sanomat, Finland's national newspaper. The newspaper has been a vocal critic of Russia's actions in Ukraine and the map is based from the city that was devastated by war in Donetsk. The map is called de_voyna, and contains a range of references to the war.
In the near future the developer will be releasing a set of Source 2 tools for community map creators to use in their own creations. This will include features like improved lighting and character read as well as physically-based rendering that produces realistic textures, materials and reflections. It will also help in the implementation of real-world objects, like windows and doors. The update is set to launch sometime in the summer.
